Add Temporary Additional Drivers

Just send appropriate details by email to us at underwriting@xsdirect.ie. You can add more drivers at these rates (subject to a minimum charge of €40):

• Age 18 – 24 €100/day
• Age 25 – 74 €10/ day

Substitute a Vehicle

3 temporary sub vehicles are already included in your cover [for one period of insurance]. If you need a 4th or more temp sub, we charge €50 plus levy or part thereof for each additional sub.

Note: This restriction does not apply if the sub is in the event of an accident. Subs are only on a like for like basis i.e. Car to a car not a car to van/truck.

Comprehensive Cover Abroad

Your policy includes minimum cover to allow the use of the vehicle in any country which is a member of the EU, plus Andorra, Croatia, Faroe Islands, Gibraltar, Monaco, Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein, San Marino and Switzerland.

To upgrade to fully comprehensive, there is an additional premium of €100 per week [or part of a week].

use your vehicle outside Western Europe

Minimum cover will apply to allow the use of your vehicle in any country which is a member of the EU, plus Andorra, Croatia, Faroe Islands, Gibraltar, Monaco, Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein, San Marino and Switzerland. If you want to use your vehicle outside this range of countries, an additional payment will be needed. Cover can then be extended to include those countries specified and agreed to for the period you need.

Suspend or cancel your cover

You cannot suspend your cover. If you cancel the policy in the 1st year of insurance, the following scale will apply:

• Up to 14 days on cover pro-rata refund
• 15 days to 1 month on cover 75%
• Up to 2 month on cover 60%
• Up to 3 month on cover 50%
• Up to 4 months on cover 35%
• Up to 6 months on cover 25%
• Up to 8 months on cover 10%
• Over 8 months on cover 0%
