Pumpkin Policy

Pumpkin, our latest policy, is designed to lower the premiums of 17 – 21 year old drivers who have safer driving patterns. Some drivers can save up to €1,000 on their premium.

Research shows that the most dangerous driving times are between 10pm and 6am on Friday and Saturday nights. Younger drivers who take a taxi or get a lift from a friend at these times are rewarded by Pumpkin’s lower premiums.

With Pumpkin, a small, unobtrusive tracker device is installed in the car. This tracker simply records if the car is used at weekend nights. The cost of the tracker is included in the premium.

Should drivers need to drive their car during these weekend hours, they can do so and will be covered, but a €25 charge will apply.
